General rules concerning fireworks in the state of Nebraska

 

Fireworks are to only be used and discharged from June 25 to July 4 and from December 28 to December 30 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.  However, for New Years, fireworks can be used from 8:00 a.m. on December 31 through 1:00 a.m. on January 1.

 

Only people that are age 16 years or older may possess, use, and/or discharge consumer fireworks.  A person between the ages of 12 and 16 may possess, use, and/or discharge consumer fireworks only when under direct supervision of an adult that is 19 years old or older. 

 

You may not throw fireworks, use bottle rockets or transport fireworks across state lines.
